For more than twenty-five years, a variety of manuscripts (novels, non-fiction, reports, teacher’s guides, newsletters, and magazine articles) have come my way. Some have needed substantive editing, others, stylistic editing, copy editing, or proofreading. Whatever the task at hand, my work reflects a concern for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Equally important, I deliver on time.

Recent and past clients include: HarperCollins, Penguin, Pearson Education, Anansi, Groundwood, Report on Business Magazine, the National Reading Campaign, the Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada, toronto.com, the CBC, TVOntario, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and the Commission for Environmental Cooperation. In addition to freelancing, I have worked in-house for Stoddart and Madison Press.

From 1999 to 2001, I served as the Books Editor of Infoculture, the CBC’s first arts website. My job involved commissioning book reviews, interviewing authors such as Alistair MacLeod and Elizabeth Hay, and working with the producers of Writers & Company, The Arts Tonight, and other literary programs to give their shows an online presence.

In 2010, I was nominated for the Rosemary Shipton Award for Excellence in Book Editing.
